A Spring Scale is a widely used weighing scale/balance for measuring
force, including the force of gravity, exerted on a mass or the force of
a person's grip. It can also be used to measure the force exerted by a
towing vehicle. The measurement unit is generally expressed in newtons
or pounds-force.Certain spring scales may be calibrated for accurate measurement of mass in the location in which they are used. These instruments are constructed from different materials including plastic and metal and provide direct and accurate readings for both force and mass measurements. The instruments can be calibrated in both grams and Newtons.
