Since the last two decades there is a change taking place in the Histology laboratory equipment. The trend is now towards convergence of technologies.
This is resulting in histology equipment that are simple, involves easy control and fewer steps. So it is safe to assume that the future of histopathology instrumentation market is set to be be reigned by equipment that is set to reduce the human factor to a bare minimum. This would result in more time for research work available to lab personnel.
Automated
Histology Equipment
Surely automated histology lab equipment have made an impact. Increasingly they are performing the time taking and labour intensive assignments with elan. This has resulted in faster diagnostic results, expansion in the menu of tests, along with a drastic betterment in quality and reduction in the turnaround time. However the transition has not been easy as the market of histology equipment has been traditionally dominated by manual instruments.
Microtome is a popular histology lab equipment which after automation is performing a series of tasks. Multistainer, glass coverslipper are other good examples of independent histology products that are frequently used in histology laboratories.
